Working with more models!

The last few months have given me the opportunity to work with five different models. The first four were part of a group social gathering of four models and a bunch of different photographers along the waterfront of Barrie. We spend a few hours photographing the models, taking turns with each model. It was a great experience, not only did I get to shoot with all four models and get some good shots, I also got to watch other photographers in action.

Seeing how the other photographers shoot, the equipment they use and and how they pose the models was interesting and educational. And of course I learn a lot from the models as well in regards to poses, angles etc. One of the models was the same one I got to shoot with at the last group shoot and it was great working with her again, not only because she is very good, but it was the first opportunity where I got to work with a model more than once. Each of the four models were great to work with.

A week or two later I got to shoot with another model solo. It was the first time I got to work with a model solo. I will admit it was awkward at first, not quite sure what to do as far as directing her. As the afternoon went on we got more comfortable and if it had not been so cold that afternoon it might have lasted longer. It was also the first shoot were I tried using off camera flash. We got a few good shots out of the afternoon but I have a lot to learn about using flash.

Here some examples from the shoots, all shoots were done with the Canon T5 and most were taken with the 55-250mm lens.
